There and back again.. A troops tale.
Let's just say, we are "Enthusiastically Exhausted".
Our two week trip has ended last night. Our adventures out West have been simply amazing.
From chills to thrills, Caving, zip lining, Kayaking, repelling, surfing, giant canoes, spiritual islands,
banana slugs, Long beach, pool break and tons of good food.. yumm Jiggers.. That was just our first week.
Our second week was spent with our fellow scouts from accross Canada. 3200 scouts to be more precise.
We jumped in immediately making new friends, trading badges and participating in some pretty awesome activities.
But with all this, it was the friendships made that were a key element to the success of this event.
I have overheard many answers to the famous question in the last two days, "What are you going to do when you get home?"
All our scouts are looking forward to return to their home lives and their PS3. But with a grin, they all invited each other to come over and play.
I am sure , that when they woke up this morning. They found it quite quiet in our rooms.
With a deep breath, we will relive all that we have done, and all the people that was along for the journey.
So hopefully this blog will help you remember the good times, the sites, the friends and the great memories.
Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened.

Aerial Park
Aerial park was challenging, dirty and very tiring. It was an obstacle course in the air, that's why it was very tough.
The funniest part of the day was when mitchell try to jump through a rubber tube but got stuck. Scouter mark and Scouter Paul said that because of our hard work throughout our trip they would make us supper for us, and they ordered a pizza! At the end of the day Mitch,Zac,James,Liam and I were playing capture the flag with the Edmontonians.

A quick dip
We completed Pippins adventure in Sechelt, BC. We walked over the whole town to find different clues. Once all found we get a cool prize.

It was funny to be wandering in civilization for a couple of hours.
Afterwards we hooked up with the Edmontoners for a dip in the pool. The hot tub was Scouter Paul and I favorite spot.
Also gave us a chance to take hot showers. Oh baby that felt good.

Sailing with the sea scouts
The 49ers are out sailing with the Sea Dragon Sea Scouts. Our scouts got to drive their own sailboats, they thought it was funny that in each boat a sea scout (12-13yrs old) are with them teaching them how to work the sail.
Mitch and Toaster flipped their boats. :-(

Goofin around.
What's a scout to do at night, when sitting around the picnic table. Well easy, make goofy faces.

Yeah, toaster has left over chocolate cake on his face.

That's what happens when you take tv away from scouts for a week and a half.
Btw- the venturers go badge trading every night.. They say lots of girls in camp want to trade.

Lost and .. Found..
We have been using a small Go Pro camera for the group to film some of our adventures..
It's a fun waterproof camera that shows a scouts point of view with Kayaking, Canoeing, zip lining and Surfing..
Sadly, during our surfing trip, our camera got swept by a wave off one of our Venturers heads..
We left a post on the community board at the beach with the hopes that it maybe found and brought back.
Also lost were my prescription glasses.. I have been wearing my prescription sunglasses for 2 days .. really hard to see at night.. Finally got a new set during our ferry transfers..
BUT.. yesterday, I got an email from a surfer, and our camera was found!!! WOOHOO!!!!! and the camera is intact!! The fine Surfer dude will be shipping our camera back to Montreal.. =)
